Q. Is sexuality something cancer survivors tend to be nervous or uncertain about?

A. Over the years we’ve seen greater expectations among survivors for a very high quality of life, and one of the things they’re interested in is their sex life. That’s a healthy sign. It says that people who have been diagnosed with cancer expect to be a whole person again. Sexuality is the kind of thing that patients can and should ask their gynecologist or urologist about.
